    Default Uninstall button greyed out

I wanted to remove my old versions of the Proton Compiler (3.7.3.8, 3.7.4.1) but if I select an old version of Proton from the apps list the uninstall button is greyed out. Not only the old versions uninstall buttons are greyed out but also the latest version (3.7.4.3) has a greyed out uninstall button.

Does anyone know how I can get the uninstall button working ??

    Johan

PS With MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagca b program it works but that is not the correct method.

Already mentioned this in another thread. If I remember correctly, Les said that this happened when he changed the installer.

And it is not only that the problem. As you said, Johan, with MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagca b it works, most frustrating is that even the settings for the IDE, i.e. Editor options, programmers etc... are all wiped out. One needs to setup these again.
    Regards

    Joseph

Thanks Joseph for the quick answer, I used 'search' but didn't find anything useful on the forum.
But I had not yet discovered that I have lost all my settings.

I did discover that the uninstall option in the Proton start menu does uninstall the latest (active) version. I don't know if all the settings disappear via this start menu uninstall, I will try that.

What I am doing now is, first install latest release, and then uninstall using the Microsoft program install/uninstall. That way I do nit lose previous settings.
