Default Has anyone tried an LCD with a NT7605 controller?

I am searching for a backlit transflective 2 x 16 or 2 x 20 LCD display and I am currently looking at the Newhaven NHD-C0220AZ-FSW-FTW, which uses an NT7605 controller. It **appears** to be compatible with the Hitachi HD44780, but before I spend a lot of time on this I wanted to check and see if anyone has used one of these controllers.

    Thanks!

    -Rick

I haven't tried it Rick but it looks the same as far as programming goes. Looks nice too!

I got the display, hooked it up, and wrote some code for it.
THE GOOD NEWS: It looks great, works fine, and seems to be fully compatible with PDS's LCD routines.
THE BAD NEWS: Two days after I got it the manufacturer discontinued it.

    Oh well......

Yes- but if you scroll down a bit and look at "part status" it says "last time buy".

I think I'll bite the bullet and change over to an I2C graphic LCD. The display will be cheaper but the code will be MUCH more complex.

    Hi Rick
I have used Lumex Display which are very good, they are sold via RS or Mouser etc.

    I hope that this helps

    Hi Gamboa-
Thanks for the suggestion. That it a nice looking display, and the price is good, but no one in the U.S. seems to carry them. I may change to something like that once the quantities get big, but for now I think I'll try a Newhaven NHD-0220FZ-FSW-GBW-P.
