Default Dongle light does not work and cannot compile

    Please, I need ideas.
This week I have to work remotely and took my Dell notebook with Win10. Plugged in the dongle and it installed the driver (c:/windows/system32/driver/sparkey.sys). Acc. to Win10 it is installed and working.
But the light does not work and Proton does not recognise it.
Installed and re-installed, drivers, etc. nothing.
The dongle was working on my office computer (Win10) until the last second.
And when I start my Dell computer, the light comes on for 1 - 2 seconds.
If I look under USB devices, it appears as Spark dongle - driver failure.
Tried all with remove, reinstall (always says driver fault).
    Any ideas?

    Hi Joseph,
thank you for your quick reply. I found your post before I sent mine and I followed your instructions.
    Unfortunatley without any success.
Thanks again. Dongle still not recognized.

If you are not doing so using an Administrator account try installing the driver from an Administrator account and or running Proton as an Administrator and see if that works.

I know it does not help immediately but I would suggest contacting sales and either exchanging the dongle for the new driverless HID dongles now or purchase a HID now as a backup (which you are allowed to have) so that you can keep trying to get the spark key driver working until it arrives and then exchange you existing spark key dongle for a HID one later so that both dongles are then driverless.
