I'm gradually getting further with these displays. Can somebody put me right on this issue please:

I have bought a few OLED displays. One of the two Arduino-type displays works well with Les's Wiki code, ILI9325. Plugged into my adapter board (left on photo).

The other Arduino type doesn't work. I have established that it is 5V, but it might be an ILI9341/2 type. This photo shows the non-working display together with the Arduino adapter board I made. It has a 18F26K22 running at 64Mhz. The writing on the board is mine. Does anybody know what the controller type is please for this module?

Thanks Flosi. I had wrongly assumed that all the Arduino style modules used the ILI9325 controller.

Mine is very similar to the one you presented. It is almost identical. I have no idea what driver it has and how to run it.

Join the club! I had hoped to write an article for the Wiki showing (some of) the range of available modules, their controller type number and who had written some code to drive them. But it's proving hard because you can't tell what controller it is.

I can offer the following: if you can't see a voltage regulator then it might be 3.3V only and connecting it to 5V would ruin it. Several modules have the word "touch" in the advert, but I have only received one module that has definitely got touch. Here is photo of it. I don't know what controller it has:

I will try this module using Flosi's new code and report back.

Well that's gratifying. The only thing is, if you look on my photo at where the touch interface tracks go, they terminate on a chip that isn't there (the pads are there, but no chip, so no touch unless you know what the chip should be?).

    Have you tried touch yet?

Now I see that its is not exactly the same as mine has the chip. It is HR2046. On the other side I see two flexible pcb coming out of the display. I assume that the one with only four conductors is for touch.

What voltage are you using for the module you describe?

I use 3.3v. There is a SOT23 copmponent marked as 65z5. Turns out that is a 3.3v low dropout regulator and there is a solder bridge so I resume I could use the display with 5v to.

I have a 16 bit parallel ILI9341 display that I bought prior to the SPI ones. I'm now trying to modify my driver for it and I'm successful with commands but not data: That is because the commands are all 8 bit but the display expects 16 bit data. These displays can be hardwired as 3/4 wire, 8/9 bit SPI, 8 bit using lower/higher byte and 16 bit. Any pointers would be welcome
