Default Cell phone charger as a power supply?

Are USB cell phone chargers in general good enough to provide power for 5 volt projects? I would add a few caps as insurance to the PCB. My project is within the supply rating.

I use them all the time. The Vdd range on modern Pic devices is hugh anyway. If I have a bunch of stuff on the breadboard I throw in a couple of decoupling caps.

I use them too. But I took a cheap imported one apart some time ago and the insulation between the primary (mains) and the secondary circuit was a single thin layer of yellow tape.

I use them too. My family left many of these chargers because changing phones often.
I also got those small modules Hi Link, which are space saver too.
