Default Dev boards (I can't afford)

Idling round the net and ended up on Mikro's page, looked at their PIC dev board, it's beautiful no seriously take a look, it's a joy to behold, power supply, hardware debug, programmer, but sadly $249 (plus $25 postage which broke the camels back). Dosen't even have zif sockets for the gazillion PIC devices it supports.
    George.

I use the EasyPic v7. it I priced at $149 and still in stock. Great board, no ZIF socket but I do a lot of work on it.

Hardware debug work only with their debug hardware, at least that of how I understand it.

EasyPic 7 do all my needs, for now sure I would not update with the EasyPic 8.

And still, the EasyPic v7 has a hardware debug. The only difference I am seeing is that the v8 has WiFi.
    Regards

    Joseph

    Good to know, thanks.

Edit. The v7 does look nice, imagine how cool it would be if you could use the debugger with Proton.

Seems like if you nearly finish ordering something on Micro's shop (I did it to find out the post charge) they send an email reminder and a week or so later they offer 10% off.
