    Default SD File System revisited

I have reviewed the SD_File_System in a file.inc only checking all macros using the preprocessor too. I have tried to make the commands easier to read and write. I need a beta tester to test the code because I don't have a board to test a CD memory yet.
    Thank You
    Alberto

    Hi Alberto

I have a test board setup to test read a Gps with a Laser which takes readings and writes them to an SD Card this is on a Pic 24 but, I can set this up on an 18F Device to do the same if this will help with some of the tests?

    Regards
    Craig

Many thanks for your code Alberto.

I've gotten back into a FAT16 and FAT32 file system on the 8-bit devices the same as the ones I wrote for the PIC24 devices a few years ago. I have the reads working, but have a little querk in the writing of files for now.

I have sofar not been able to open files any files nor read or write anything. Dir, delete, psuedo format, disk size, free space work ok.

    Hi Alberto

I have tried compiling using a Pic 18F45K50 but got compilation errors, I have Changed the .Inc file, It compiles but gives assembler error.
When I have more time I will test with a 18F25K20 and see how things run.

    Regards
    Craig

Thanks Craig for running the file.
I have only tried to pass the input variables to subroutines, nothing more. I will have to review some Gosub that could cause problems. Surely there is an error although the examples compiled well. Where can I find the original file? Maybe it would be worth the job of moving on to procedures. I will need a lot of time. I have an ongoing project. I can't look at it right now.
    Thank you Craig.

    Hi Alberto,
Procedures are so much easier to understand when looking at another's code. I've always found macros a bit of a mystery, but that's just me.
So next project bite the bullet and have a go, you won't be sorry.
    Best wishes
    John

Procedure is a greater improvement, which might supersede the need of macro or some assembly black magic.
Finally the procedure lets the user to tailor and reuse a broad set of written source. What about to enter into a OOP perspective ?
