Default Driver for SSD1289 for Pic 24/32 in Proton

    Hi,

Before I commission someone to write a driver for me is there a .inc file for the SSD1289 TFT screen. Like this one https://www.sainsmart.com/products/3...n-with-sd-slot

I have not use the Proton Pic24 compiler before but in the long future I need a TF for a project and will need to maintain the code myself. I'm going for a Pic24/32 as I need the grunt to drive the screens From pixel pushing screens from memory to the display to generating graphs. As well as managing the data flow from my main control board.

I cannot see any files already written for the device but I may have missed it.

As an aside I will need to store screens to get fast changes in the UI. These shields have an SD slot. However it fills me with fear having a SDcard in a device that should have a service life of 10 years. The connectors will be subject to corrosion and its not an option to just unplug the card to wipe the contacts in a sealed product.
Also I still support my products that are coming up 20 years old, so do not want use a parts that has a high rate of change like a SD card.

I have used Serial memory chips in the past with 16mbit chip which would give me 26 screens worth. More than enough screen dumps to get a complex image on the screen ASAP.

    The questions are again

Any drivers etc for the Pic24/32 using Proton for the SSD1289 TFT
Any recommendations on memory devices to store data and screens for the TFT and other uses.

    Thanks

    Tim

t is for 18f26k22 and a SPI display. Should be easy to adapt to a parallell display as in your link.
