    Yes I'm dumm, I have to define " pChannel = 14 " before to get channel AN14. as below:
    pChannel = 14
    pChannel = pChannel << 2 ' Move the channel bits into their correct position
    ADCON0 = pChannel | $01 ' Select the ADC channel and keep the ADC enabled
    ...

    Remember... pChannel is a parameter to a procedure so you do not change it within the procedure itself, just send the decimal value 14 to the procedure as the channel number. The shifting left of 2 positions places the value in pChannel into the correct position within the ADCON0 SFR for the channels. Then the ORing of $01 enables the ADC peripheral.
