Default PickitPlus for Pickit2 and Pickit3 works well

    Hi Everyone,

I have always had issues with Pickit2/Pickit3 and I'm glad to say they seem to all be solved now.
I obtained PickitPlus from Even at PICKitPlus@anobium.co.uk for a donation of £23.

    More info here:
    https://www.eevblog.com/forum/microc...3-programmers/

    This is their description:

The intent of PICKit Plus is to support programming of 8-bit PIC microcontroller. The capabilities include:

    • Three software elements -
    1. PICkit 3 Graphical user interface application. Specific solution for the PICkit™ 3 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer
    2. PICkit 2 Graphical user interface application. Specific solution for the PICkit™ 2 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer
    3. PICkit Command line user interface application. Supports both PICkit™ 2 and 3 In-Circuit Debugger/Programmer

    • New programming protocol support for new classes of 8-bit Microchips PIC microcontrollers
    • Updated and managed 8-bit Microchips PIC microcontroller database.
    • Improved user interface
    • Improved Help, guidance and direct access to the 8-bit Microchips PIC microcontroller database.
    • USB (Full speed 12 Mbits/s interface to host PC) & IDE compatible for programming.

I've tried it with Pickit2 and Pickit3 (original Microchip and clones) and it works well.
I've tried a number of Pics and they all were detected and programmed correctly.
In projects where I'm developing 2 targets simultaneously, it allows multi
windows of the Pickitplus (even pickit2 and pickit3 together).
I've used it in XP (as a VM on Mac) and Windows10.

I'm not sure that it makes any difference but it's not a donation, it's the price.
