Default FUSES for PIC18F47K20

000

Good morning
I am using the PIC18F47K20 and in the help of the proton I did not locate the FUSES for said micro.
Where can I locate them?
Thank you so much

I don't think that device exists. There is a 18F46K20.

The compiler's manual cannot contain the fuses for every device. That would be a book in itself. LOL

Take a look at Config_Start and Config_End in the manual for 18F devices.

For the valid fuses, look inside the device's PPI file, and all the valid fuses, and a small explanation of them, are located in the "Fuse Definitions" section of it. For the detailed explanation of the fuses, read the device's data sheet, because the fuses an all PIC devices are slightly different.

As Les said it would be impractical to list the fuse for the devices in the help and that is not really the purpose of the help anyway as the fuses are to do with the device not the compiler or IDE, unless you meant how do you add them in which case follow Les' advice.

If you want a slightly more automated approach to dealing with the configuration fuses then you might find the Fuse configurator plugin a useful tool for adding the fuse settings to your code. It lists all the fuse names and their settings for the declared device, however unless you are familiar with the device you should still read the device data sheet for a detailed explanation of each fuse and its options to know which values to select.

Fuse configurator is a vital plugin, I know it's not possible but it should be part of a full install.

I donīt see why it can not be part of a full install. It just needs some comment on how to install it...
I know itīs not a īlesī project but what the hell. I hardly think JohnGB would mind.

It is built in to John's new Proton Studio IDE as are many of Johns other plugins such as Bookmarks, the P24 PPS Select and Interrupt wizards as well as other features like Project management and code folding. So if Proton Studio were to replace the macanique IDE in future the installs then people would get the fuse configurator as standard.

I am acquainted with John's latest development, but I must assume that not all PicBasic users are.
From personal experience I know that a lot of Dutch PicBasic users ask their questions at a electronics forum where they should have used this forum (at least to prevent people that don't know PicBasic to meddle with answers and suggestions that are not to the point).
And you don't want to know how often I had to point someone to the FC.

11. John's IDE is a work of art! It is a lovely platform and as soon as John gives the go ahead, it will be installed with the compiler as standard.
