    Question 12F617 will not compile

    Hi Les.

Thank you for updating to V3.6.1.4.
You're doing a great job, fantastic compiler for so many years!

I've found an old issue for the 12F617.
It gives assembler errors in compiler versions V3.5.9.9 and further, but no errors in V3.5.8.6 and earlier.

    The errors are:
ASM ERROR: Error[113] (...) Symbol not previously defined (PP_RP0)
ASM ERROR: Error[113] (...) Symbol not previously defined (PP_RP1)

If I don't give up the CONFIG (fuses), (as in the example below), I get even more assembler errors, so I think some 12F617 file is missing.

The errors happens directly, even if there is not a real program in it yet, like the example below:

    Code:
    DEVICE 12F617

    DECLARE XTAL = 8

    CLEAR

    WHILE
    WEND

Excuse for my late response, but thanks for the quick solution Les.
The latest version compiles the 12F617 as in the old days

    You're welcome.

This happened because I created some new PPI files from recent Microchip inc files, and they have changed so many SFR and bit and fuse names for no reason.

    Hello Les
Will we have a problem with the older chips as I have a lot of chips that are 5+ year old or older mostly dips.

    Many Thanks
    Gary
