Glad to hear you have made some progress.

To be honest I have never tried to drive a multiple 7 segment display from a pic as there are chips that do all the hard work for you.

I've not looked at your code in detail but running the display will make things a lot more complicated as the display would need to be updated all the time as well as doing other stuff, there may be some examples in the forum or wiki.

If I was doing it I would use a ready made module with a MAX7219 or similar driver and make life easier, they are cheap and readily available on ebay, eg:

If you did want to stick with just using the pic I would do the display part differently.

When you have a value to print you could use a For...Next loop to cycle through the digits, look at each digit in turn with the Dig command and use Case... Select to display set the segments.

Once you get that working you can move onto the timing.

    Hi amod and Simon,
I am working to send negative numbers on the display. I have managed to show -99 to +99 already. I have to modify the structure of my program. What forces me to lose a digit or I will have to add one more.
I hope to get results in a few days.

    Hi amod and Simon,
After some headache, I was able to finish the code to print negative numbers from -99999 to +99999, occupying 6 digits. In this way one digit is lost.
How many digits do you need?
I'm going to spend a lot of time trying the program before publishing it. If you need it urgently send me an e-mail.
    Regards

    Hi amod and Simon,
You can find a new template to use 8 displays (7 displays + sign) in the WIKI.

    Hi Alberto
I have changed the title (but not the link) so that the 8 is prominent, otherwise people may miss the fact that it now covers up to 8 displays.
I'll send you a private message on a couple of sentences I don't understand - translation problem I think.
    John
