Default $99 DLP LightCrafter Display 2000 evaluation module

DLP Pico display evaluation module description
DLP Pico display evaluation module datasheet
DLP Pico display evaluation module video

PIC to send external I2C commands to control the system
The I2C protocol used in communicating information to the DLPC2607 consists of a serial data bus
conforming to the Philips I2C specification and is rated up to a speed of 400 kHz. There are three sets of
I2C commands. One set of commands is for projector control. The second set is for programming the flash
(video etc.) in the system. The third set is compound I2C commands, which are serviced by embedded software in the DLPC2607. The device ID and status can be read though the I2C interface as well.

Looks really interesting and would make a great article for Proton or Proton24, maybe when the price falls, I'll see if they become available on ebay. I've seen these for quite a few years now, and was waiting for the price to become low, but it's not low enough for now. :-) They need to be the same prices as colour graphic LCDs, then they will explode on the market.

It's also good to read that it is Beaglebone Black ready, and not those dreadful raspberry pis' that many people have been ripped off with. The con words in the rapberry pi saga was "we're doing it for good causes" nonsense, instead of the truth that "we are out to make millions with many feeble boards that are poor quality single board linux that have actually been around for a decade or so"! Ohhh and here's version 2 and version 3 so we can make more money, even tough they do a similar thing to each other, and we should be doing a trade in, but we can make more money from the sheep by making them buy them again. :-(

    Rant over. LOL

I have been waiting for the price to fall on RFID readers with a 3 to 4 foot range.
