Default Trying to identify and connect OLED module

I'm trying to identify a OLED 0.96" blue module I got on Ebay ages ago and never got round to. The part number OLED0128*64 is under the area where the display can be glued.

It has 6 pin Gnd, VCC, SCL, SDA, RST, D/C (D/C might be O/C)

Given that it doesn't have separate data in and out I assume its I2C

On the back it has two pads marked D/C and D/C.

What do I do with RST and D/C

Anybody have one and have it working?

I don't even know if it's SSD1306 but assuming that it is, does anybody have super simple code to test the interface?
    George.

    Evening George,

I've been playing around with these OLEDs for a while now. It seems that you have one of the "posh" versions which has both the SPI and I2C ( the controller offers both) interfaces available. I think that the RST and D/C pins relate to the SPI interface. D/C is data/command pin. Personally I would start by trying the I2C interface first and use Dompie's driver from the Wiki. It works a treat. Ignore RST and D/C.

    Cheers,

    Bob

    Sorry for my late reaction.
I have extended the GraphicSSD1306 library with hardware SPI support (MSSP1 and MSSP2).
Bob is correct with the D/C pin. The RST pin is a restart pin used once at the start of the connection. Normally there is often a CS pin too, which is the ChipSelect.
In the User File section of the forum you will find GraphicSSD1306_v1.10 with I2C and SPI support. link: http://www.protonbasic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=77775
