Default About Bluetooth, Windows and "buffered serial in" of Les.

I would like to connect a tablet with Windows10 via bluetooh with a PIC and use the buffered serial in of Les (THANKS AGAIN LES!).

    I found this:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/1724936...=ps&dispItem=1

What do you think about this HC-05 06?

Using a tablet with Windows10, could I connect with this device?

Wow, that's a good price! I about 4 for an HC-05. Yes, you can connect to a tablet with Bluetooth, I've just done it.
You will obviously need a tablet with Bluetooth built in, or an external adapter. Mine worked first time and I am using
a buffered input routine using interrupts, very similar to Les's version.

You will have to download an app for the tablet. Google "HC-05 app for tablet" and you should find a few.

I will help if I can...

I used "Bluetooth Terminal HC-05" with an android tablet. Is a Windows tablet that different?

    Charlie

I tried to order some using the link you posted, the price suddenly jumps from 99 cents to about $3 each!

I don't think there are any chips on that board. That's probably why it's so cheap.

    Hi Carlie,

    good news.

I have ordered at this supplier:

    https://detail.1688.com/offer/520903...0.0.0.0.dUd5iA

ten pieces of HC-05 at the cost of around two Euro for each one plus delivery cost for a total around 25 Euro in total. But keep in mind that I now live in Shenzhen and that I have access to information that westerners people can hardly have. The delivery time has been very short; two days.

That HC-05 is really a low cost BlueTooth device.

Now is the moment to test it.

That looks pretty much the same as mine. Like I said, I am happy to help you get it working.

    Just to update.

The HC-05 run without any serious trouble. Just some difficulties during the pairing with Windows 10.

Using all HC-05 default and at the speed of 9600 bps the Les buffered routine works great.

Charlie, do you have used the button near the EN line?

Do you have make the routine to send AT command at 38400 bps to change the name, password and speed?

Do you have the schematics of the assembled PCB?

That sounds pretty good so far Leo.

No, I haven't tried the button, I am happy to use the HC-05 as a slave at the moment.
No, I haven't got any schematics for the assembled PCB, are you planning on making your own version?

Are you using interrupts to get data into your code from the HC-05? I wrote a very fast and simple routine to do this. It's on the Wiki and if
it is of interest I will find it for you.
