Default Problem with the Timers.Inc include

I've recently upgraded to 3.5.6.9 and a previous project from a couple of years ago that uses the Timers.inc include no longer compiles.

So, I created a new project with just these three lines of code:

    Device 18F25K22
    XTAL 64
    INCLUDE "timers.inc"

When I compile I get the following errors:

Name:	errors.jpg
Views:	16
Size:	26.1 KB
ID:	2274

I then tried some other PIC devices and everything compiled ok.
So, I tried 18F25K20 and it works fine, so the problem seems to be with the 18F25K22 device.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Regards,
    Joe

If you look in the datasheet, you'll find that the IF-bits do not match the PIRx registers.
    TMR4IF is in PIR5, TMR4IE is in PIE5, TMR5IF is in PIR5 and TMR5IE is in PIE5.
Looks like an error in Timers.inc.
It may of course be that the IR/IE registers differ per subfamily
    I did some checking:
    - 18F86J50, 16F193X, 16F 1826/7 indeed do use PIR3 for TMR4

Yes, I also checked and found those differences. I was hoping it was a simple mistake in the .DEF file and thus simple to patch, but everything looked ok in there.
So like you, concluded that the issue was with the timers.inc code someplace and then stopped looking.

However, at least I know it's not me or my installation, so thanks for checking.

Hopefully Les will come along and see this.

    Regards,
    Joe

    Hey Joe,

In the meantime you could of course make a private copy, change the PIR/PIE registers, and save it in your project directory or something like that.

    Joe,
In the PIC18FxxK22 series these bits have changed site and are not in the standard position. Only "Timers.inc" must to be modified.
I modified this file by putting the right bits, you can try.
I didn't check if there are more misplaced bits. Let's see ...
    Save your original file first...

In the "pconfig.inc" file the PIC18F25K22 is not defined. Could it be affecting the "Timers.inc" file? Better Les check them all.
I corrected my error (the parenthesis were missing).
