Default Upgrading from old version of Proton IDE and PIC Basic compiler

I purchased Proton Development Suite several years ago, used it for about a year, then had to stop due to some personal reasons. I now have time to pick this hobby back up, but my purchased version of the compiler and IDE are out of date, and the Online Update option in the development environment doesn't work. I've spent a few hours browsing the forum, but and web site, but can't find any specific postings that are helpful to me. It appears that there are no direct updates posted for the version(s) that I have. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

    from the "about" screen:
    Proton IDE 2.0.0.4
Proton + PIC Basic Beta Compiler (loader version?)
    Compiler Version 3.4.0.5

I have the original CD, and the USB key.

I get an screen prompting me to use the online update option to update my compiler, but again, the online update is not working for me.

Any thoughts or ideas? I hope I won't need to re-purchase the software again, I was unable to use it extensively shortly after purchasing it, and just now am capable of spending time with this.

You need to download and install the latest compiler,on the top menu bar there is an updates tab
you can download it from there.

    Here's the link:

You may be best served to remove the old version of Proton from your computer then install the latest full version - That's what I do with Proton upgrades unless otherwise instructed.

Back up your system and Keep your old install files.

Go to the Proton Forum and login.
If you dont remember your password,
request a new one, they must have you in their data base.
Then you can download the last version of PDE,
    I hope this help.
