Default Please hep on remake Color TV OUT program MPlab C16 to Proton24

    hello,
I found on the net a great project color TV OUT for DSPIC.

This is a simple circuit DSPIC (can also PIC24H or better 24EP) with the output of the video composit without using PAL encoder (AD725 etc) and any other supporting circuitry.

The resolution is 160x100 and about 16 colors.
    KompozitPIC24.jpg

Ingenious is the absolute simplicity without any involvement PAL encoder (AD725, etc)

The source code can be downloaded is designed for the MPLAB C16 compiler. Important routines are written in assembler.

Could somebody please rewrite the program in Proton24?

If necessary, adjust it as an example to demonstrate the performance PIC24 MCU?

For developers Proton24, it could be an easy basis for the creation of TV OUT libraries for Proton24.

    thank you

There you will find circuits PCB and a detailed description of the development, including video

Interesting project although I don't see a schematic.

    Hello

web is probably in Japanese. It is good to install a Firefox add-FoxLingo a page to be translated online. Translation is sufficient.

Adding another link from the same page and involvement for PIC32MC695 with SDcart. (240X224 15 bit !!!!)

    http://www.ze.em-net.ne.jp/~kenken/c...-h3/index.html

And here video PIC32MX 28 pin TV-OUT without PAL ENCODER (AD725 etc.):

    <span id="result_box" class="" lang="en"><span>

Attached is the program in MPLAB C32 for this circuit and circuit diagram.

In another appendix diagram for PIC32 28pin.

And the wiring diagram for DSPIC33FJ256GP506.

    http://www.ze.em-net.ne.jp/~kenken/c...-h3/index.html (160X100 8 barev)

Speed and sram capacity DSPIC33FJ256GP506 is equivalent p24EP128MC202 (speed p24EP128MC202 is better)

Find someone experienced who could do the conversion to PROTON24.

It would then be possible to start a project like Uzebox or older 8-bit emulation.

This involvement is wonderful as it is a simple yet highly powerful!!

I have done some PIC to PC monitor in basic and assembly however due to limited 8 bit PIC speed the pixels displayed were actually 4 pixels x 4 pixels each.
I have also done a wave player from an SD card so this project would be a natural next step however I am currently busy with other projects.

    Hello Normet,

You should have some sample code of your experiment?
Perhaps with the help of others would have proved a library PROTON24 create together.

Of something always has to start.

Neither of my programs were written in Proton24 and since Les has written a Proton24 File System library.

Can anyone confirm these sample programs are PAL? I live in the USA where TV's are NTSC.

  9. Interesting, I still repair PAL and SECAM monitors for the oil industry and often wondered if it would be possible to build a test card generator using a PIC.

The code in the first zip is mostly Japanese but I can see mention of NTSC but not PAL and the timings look more like NTSC. It's also nearly, if not all, assembler so little chance of translation to Proton
