Default MAC OSX soft carrige return, question.

The first topic I posted (in Proton Plus Compiler v3, Topic SHout .....), I'll see that the extra carrige return's are ignored. What is wrong? And yes I incluced now also carrige return's

    Henk
You have given us very little to advise about.
We need a simple program illustrating the problem and then maybe someone can help. It is also helpful to know the version of the compiler.

Thank you John for the reply. I've have installed the latest update. But when I post on this Forum, a topic, or reply to a message, the carrige return's are ignored on this Forum. Therefore I get very long lines, and is almost unreadable.

    Henk,
That is something to do with settings in Internet Explorer. It has been mentioned somewhere on the forum in the last few weeks. You'll need to do a search. You may find Firefox better.
It's nearly midnight here so I have to head off to bed.

The title mentioned MAC OSX , it caught my attention, as i use a mac.

Can you post an explanation as to how i can reproduce the issue and i'll look into it. Is it really an OSX issue,? i think its probably a browser issue.

Every (CR) in a line means a carrige return, so it's only to make it clear, so you can see what I mean. (CR) (CR) (CR) After 3 lines started with the 4th line. (CR) In the Editor it works fine, but when a press on Submit Reply or Preview Post. (CR) Every CR is lost and everything is justified to the End Of Line. (CR) (CR) THis is the first forum (of more then a Dozen) who has this behaviour. Henk

I dont think i've seen this issue mentioned before. For sure its not something that i can reproduce 9 using a MAC) does anyone else experience this issue?

I cannot recreate the problem, so its difficult to debug.

Do you still see the issue if the editor is in source mode?

As long I stay in the Editor everything is oke! (CR) But if I leave the Editor, invoke Submit or Preview the the CR are lost, and all the lines are to the end of lines.(CR) Henk.

HI, yes i think i understand what your saying. But i cannot reproduce it.

can anyone else verify that this is an issue. I don't want to be hunting an issue that's not server related. If its local and browser related i cannot remedy that.

Hi - I can confirm I had the same (or at least similar) issue with the forum formatting. In my case it was mostly related to posting code segments I think.

I fixed it in settings, micelanious setting, general editor - changed to 'standard editor' I think and that fixed the problem. Maybe your problem is in there?

    Cheers
