    Default Fuse Configurator Update

Fuse Configurator has been updated to support both 8 bit and 16 bit devices and is compatible with the latest release of PDS.
In case you have problems with the new Fuse Configurator the previous version has been included in the download.

You can download Fuse Configurator from here

There is also a new plug-in specifically for the P24/33 devices to assist in assigning vectors to Interrupts

You can download Interrupt Wizard from here

Please report any problems to me.

    Enjoy

John, when I try to use configurator I get the message mcPluginMgr.dll was not found. How do I correct this?

Same here. Must say that I first uninstalled PDS 3.5.5.6 and then installed latest version, as I always do. However, reinstalling library manager and fuse configurator 24 did not help.

It sounds like the PDS installation didn't include the mcPlugInMgr.dll or didn't register the dll in windows.
This would suggest that any Plug-in which uses the PDS API will also report this problem.

I found it on my machine in C:\Windows\SysWOW64. I have to say I didn't un-install the previous PDS before installing the latest version so it is possible that my mcPlugInMgr remained thus making everything work for me.

Have you done a search on your system for the missing file?
If it isn't there, you might be able to find it in any backup you might have.
I dont know if you have to register the dll, you do normally need to register it.
    To register it do:

    cd \windows\syswow64
    regsvr32 c:\mcPlugInMgr.dll

    Hope that helps...

Switch Syntax from ASM - i.e. in Preferences, Syntax tab un-check the Generate MPASM Assembler code.

I will add a check in for this in a future release. P24/33s will never support assembler code for configuration values.

    Default Re: Fuse Configurator Update

I have just put a new version up on the wiki which forces the code generator to PDS style configs for P24 devices.
Version number should read 3.1.0.2. Thought it would be wise to do this I know quite a few users choose the assembler style to get around anomalies in the PPI files for some devices. It will not change the state of your existing preferences.

    G'day John
    Thanks for the new FC.
I'm trying to learn how to use the P24 chips. As usual I look for clues by using your FC and the hints are really useful. However they flash before my eyes a little too quickly. Any chance of leaving them visible for longer? 5 secs would be great.
