pprint glcd?

Hi
I am a new cumer to graphics programing and am trying to
make a simple pen type recorder
my problem is printing characters of the correct size(font) and placement
i beleve the answer may be in pprint?? what is this?
are there any help files? i have tryed the test example in the pprint folder
this only produces compiler errors (may be corrupted) i have tryed 16f877a and 18f452
can anyone point me in the right direction as i am totaly lost???

ok i now have the pptest bas working with "PROTON_G10.INT" included
edited to 10mhz f16877a
however i feel that i need an overviev of pprint as i have no idea of what i am doing!
