Default Is possible to use the RC5in to decode RC6?

    Hi,

    I have
used with great success the RC5in statement, of course with Philips compatible remotes.

Now with a IR remote with RC6 protocol I try to use the same hardware that run the RC5, but nothing happens.

Checking with the oscilloscope at the output of the TSOP1736 there are data, but are not recognized by RC5in.

    Looking at the:

Hi, its great to see you visiting our forum. Why not try Proton Compiler for FREE?

Download the FREE version of Proton Compiler, Its called Amicus18 and its available from HERE

Already using proton Compiler??? Get rid of these pesky messages... get LICENSED USER STATUS

If I have correctly understand the explanation, seems that the data encoding is the opposite of the RC5.

There are tricks or suggestion to continue to use the RC5in to recognize RC6?

    Bye

    Leo

    Hi DCT15.

    Many thanks for your suggestion.

I have found a source code that I need to study to recognize RC6.

This is the link of the code

    http://www.picbasic.nl/downloads/RC5-RC6_Decoder_V-1_UK.bas

    b
ut unfortunatelly this source do not use RC5in to recognize RC5.

    Bye

Of course it does not use RC5In because it is a different protocol.
For more information see http://www.sbprojects.com/knowledge/ir/rc5.php,it contains a number of RC protocols.

    Regards, Harm

    Hi Leo,
    Google's your friend.
I found a page containing formal descriptions of a lot of RC protocols, hope you can use this (on first glance it looks quite complex) http://www.hifi-remote.com/johnsfine/DecodeIR.html.

    Ciao Harm,
thanks for thesuggestion. Ismanydays thatI'm trying with Google to found information about XMPprotocol.
    I hadalreadyassessedthat page.

Given thecomplexity of the protocolXMP,I'm looking for someonewho has experience, or who wants to gowith meto the understanding the XMP.

Also I have started a thread

    http://www.protonbasic.co.uk/showthr...tocol-decoding.

and is my intention to post screens shot of the my logic analyzer about the XMP.
