    Default PIc 12F18400 Support

    Hi Guys

Hi, its great to see you visiting our forum. Why not try Proton Compiler for FREE?

Download the FREE version of Proton Compiler, Its called Amicus18 and its available from HERE

Already using proton Compiler??? Get rid of these pesky messages... get LICENSED USER STATUS

I am a Amicus user and thinking about purchasing the full Proton suite - Are there plans to add support for the 12F1840. Nice little 8 pin chip packed with peripherals.

    Regards
    Ian

Is there something different that needs to be done to use this PIC? When I set Device = 12F18400 it only lists the 16F84 in the code explorer. I have been away from doing any programming for a while but just did the update to what was current. thanks

Ok, gave that a try, but it still wants to do it as a 16F84. It does not want to recognize the 12F1840 at all. The 12F1840 does not show in bold either.

The latest version of the IDE/Compiler combination definitely recognises the 12F1840.
    What version are you using?

Thanks for the help. I have not used this much in the past few years and got into a fun personal project again with it. I have the full system and upgraded when I re-installed it recently. It is Proton IDE 2.0.0.7 and the Proton Basic Compiler 3.5.0.6 which seems to be the most recent version on line. I found I was using an older version because I thought it was doing the auto-check for upgrades. I actually thought they were not really supporting the product since there never were any updates. I had a lot of problems re-registering for the forum since the old account had become inactive, but would not let me re-register because I was already in the system etc. I have been able to stumble into some frustrating infinite loops on the web site here. How long does it take to get back to the licensed status also? It has been over 3 weeks so far.
    Thanks again for the help.
