error 1327.invalid drive: F on PDS install?

I get this error on loading a new install of ver 3.5.0.6. downloaded today.

It installed OK on another XP platform and the key also worked.
It seems to be on this one PC only... Win XP.
Hard drive has lots of space... the error seems to happen when the install checks for drive space.... then aborts the install.
I have no drive "F" on this machine... and no USB devices attached.
Any ideas??

Where did you download this version from? It sounds like its a pirated version.

You must be thinking of another version. 3.5.0.6 is publicly available.

As you are a licensed user, you can go to the beta section of the forum and download the latest, 3.5.2.5. Although this is a release candidate it is probably more stable than 3.5.0.6

Yea you are right. Its the last full release.

I found the problem... with Google "error 1327"
It looks like the installer looks for old installed drives on your PC and will refuse to load if you have one from a past drive or un-used thumb drive.
You have to edit the registry and remove the unused drives... then the install will work.
