    Announcing release of FineLineIDE v4.00

New "Projects" in Options enables grouping shortcuts of your project files and data.
Unused and findall lines in the results window are now clickable as a goto line.
FL brackets and indentation now correct in preprocessor.
Less skins as I felt they didn't add much to the appearance of the IDE.
Added support for Do..Loop and Sub..EndSub.

Hi Norm, everytime I start FineLine I get a dialog with "An error occured in this application". I can send code if you think it's data specific.

A FineLineIDE update is now available at FineLineIDE v4.1.0

Fixed an errant element of an array in explorer.
Fixed overlapping to left of toolbuttons on some PC's.
Line spacing in unused now adjusts in size for the font point in use.

    Hi Norm,

Many thanks for the latest version of FineLineIDE. I have the PICkit 3 5V programmer option selected, but when I try to programme a pic I get this error.....

    Capture.JPG

I've obviously been into options and set up the relevant paths. Any suggestions?

    Cheers,

    Bob

Does the FL options "programer exe location" include "\PK3CMD.exe" similar to "E:\1Programmers\Pickit3\PK3CMD.exe"?

Please share your "Programmer exe location" and "Programmer Parameters".

I have the same problem with "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microchip\PICkit 2 v2\HexTag.EXE" (without the inverted commas). If I add inverted commas FL reports that the programmer does not exist.

I suspect the problem is the spaces, try enclosing string in inverted commas before chaining to os.

Also, FL picked up a couple of floating EndIfs and tagged them with a red 0, which is great. Does FL automatically remove the bad EndIfs? Would it be possible to generate a report showing assumed programme errors.

A while ago you told me how to use FL to correctly indent poorly indented code, could you refresh my memory?

    Hi Norm,

Thanks for the quick response. The location I'm using is ....

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microchip\MPLAB IDE\Programmer Utilities\PICkit3\PK3CMD.exe

    Parameters are: -P$target-device$ -F$hex-filename$ -E -M -B -L -Y -V5.0

These are set in the FL Options section.

    Cheers,

    Bob

FL v4.1.1 is enroute to George and Bob to test programer fix.

FL doesnt as of yet report orphans of which are flagged by a red "O" however it will be added to my list of potential features in future updates.

Auto indent is by default enabled however if not it can be switched back on in "options>Editor>AutoIndent Real Time" checkbox.
