    Default 18f458 vs 18f4525

    i need help !!
    all my progs work fine with the pic18f458 ie sd filesystem
    but .. the pic18f4525 then same progs will not work ??
    i know it is very global ....
    i read the manual oftn and often i found no big diffs between these prozessors ??

    I remember the 4520 had changes required when upgrading old 452 code. The newer devices had extra peripherals that the old ones didn't, and they were defaulted to a condition that didn't exist in the old one... meaning new register settings had to be made to get old code to work.

    Moral of the story: set every register value manually, and do not count on the defaults. You may need to read up on what every single sfr does.
