I have looked into this, spoken to those in the know...

    The result is

1 The fuse settings are not in the Mpasm inc file, therefor even if you add them to the ppi file they my be rejected by Mpasm
2 There are no erratas out about it so Mchip eith does not know (unlikely) or they do not care (probably)
3 The issue only manifests it self in the Pickit2 and this if you did not know is a dead programmer and Mchip only cares about the Pickit3 now (and forcing you to use mplabs!)
4 Its a debug flag that is only normally set/required when doing debugging (via the pickit3)

    So what to do?

All that can be tried is this
1 Set the fuses you require load into the Pickit2/3 and correct them
2 Make a note of all the values
3 In you abs prog add the following

    @CONFIG_REQ

Then at the end of your code add

    org $300000
Cdata as word $2700, $1F1F etc etc

    Right now the discalmer
No idea if it will work at all but worth a shot

One last thing, until Mchip says there is an issue and issues an errata Les cannot do anything.

There is ultimately only one solution use a pickit3 as per Mchips master plan!

A new option sent to me

    @ CONFIG_REQ = 0 ; Disable the compiler's configuration setup
    Asm-
    '
' Add custom values for fuses
    '
    __config config1h, 0x0000
    __config config2l, 0x0000
    __config config2h, 0x0000
    __config config3h, 0x0000
    __config config4l, 0x0000
    __config config5l, 0x0000
    __config config5h, 0x0000
    __config config6l, 0x0000
    __config config6h, 0x0000
    __config config7l, 0x0000
    __config config7h, 0x0000
    Endasm-

Add in the values as per 1 2 and 3 in my previous posts

    Default Re: 18F13K22 and PIKIT2 round 2 - finaly a solution

Tim's solution works great (what a great forum!):
Instead of 'ConfigStart-ConfigEnd' I placed the following:
    Code:
    @ CONFIG_REQ = 0 ; Disable the compiler's configuration setup
    Asm-
    '
' Add custom values for fuses
    '
    __config config1h, 0xE8
    __config config2l, 0x19
    __config config2h, 0x1E
    __config config3h, 0x00
    __config config4l, 0x81
    __config config5l, 0x03
    __config config5h, 0xC0
    __config config6l, 0x03
    __config config6h, 0xE0
    __config config7l, 0x03
    __config config7h, 0x40
    Endasm-
I did not have to add anything else to the code, the program runs perfect (the $81 in config4L took care of bit 7)
Checked the fuses with the PICKIT 2 - See attached

Thumbs up Re: 18F13K22 and PIKIT2 round 2 - new info

Thanks for the excellent solution Tim and Les! I tried setting the config values in ASM but, didnt realize i needed "@ CONFIG_REQ = 0" and it wasnt working. I added that line in and it works perfectly now. My pickit3 is on the way though =)
