    Default AliasFontPicCharX and SD card

    I am trying to use the following command from the glcd_x from the library. I have made some nice graphics and use it three time in my listing. Print two pics at startup and one in the about section. All worked ok until I started using the sd card function. The compilor complained about the invert instruction after the AliasFontPicCharX instruction. I then removed the invert and recompiled. It came up with three errors in the assembler. Ilegal charecter.

    Checking the assembler listing it pointed to the AliasFontPicCharX routine. I then totally removed the command and all worked ok with the sd card routines. I would like to use the graphic pics. Please can developers check this out. BTW the other two commands in this glcd_x does not work. I am using a samsung 240x64 6963c display.

    compiler version 3.5.0.4

    Thanks

    Anton

    Hi Anton

    First that library was a beta and only works with CData or LData not SD cards.

    samsung 240x64 6963c don't you mean Toshiba 240x64 T6963c.

    If you wish to modify the library to use with SD cards, you can view the library code by right clicking GLCD_X in Library Manager and select open library.
    I can't test to see if it works because I haven't my VSM boards to hand.
    Try the code in the help file.
    From memory X and Y positions were swapped over after the first release of GLCD Data Mate, they may be correct or not.

    Dave I think you should read my post again. I do not want to use the glcd library with the sd card. It seems the routines cannot ecxist together. I start having problem before i run the program. I have the data in the pic16f452 cdata tables. Before I add the sd library to my code all worked ok. When I add the SD Library to my code the routines dont want to mix and I get the errors stated. Is there any other way I can get pictures on the screen besides aliasfontpiccharx routine. The display I have is made by samsung the 6963c chip is made by toshiba. its a 240x64 pixel screen. There are a lot of manufacturers that use the chip made by toshiba I have even seen a huyndai lcd screen using the toshiba 6963c chip.

    Just a note re 6963., on SOME displays, you need up to -15V to even allow a display to function !

    obviously depends on the display, but I have several that need -15 for contrast...
    NOT that it answers your queery Sir, just a point to note re these displays...

    Yes I battled for days until I found this out. Dave I have seemed to have solved the problem. What was happening is that when the assembler assembled the assebly file it came upon an illeagal charecter. This charecter is the font width. Why this happens I do not know. I then moved the include library of the sd card to the top of the listing and all worked ok. I had it near the bottom of the listing with the sd code. Why this Happens I do not know. It is compiling ok now. Will quickly load it into the board and try it. Thanks for info it helped a lot. It seem like the other problem I had with the keypad routine. When the subroutine is at the bottom of the listing it compiled an extra few lines and it would not work, but putting the routine on the top of the listing compiles correctly. Weird. hope Les can help LES!!!!!!

    Thanks for Lib Dave but it does not work. The only one that works is the aliasforntpiccharx. All well and the blazing speed of the sd lib is cool.

    Tested FontPicCharX_At also this worked.

    So now you can change SprintImageX in the Library an save the Library Manager Library File and all should work.
    It is the read order that needs changing

    ImageHeight = (CRead DataPointer) - 1
    Inc DataPointer
    ImageWidth = (CRead DataPointer) - 1
