That also works for me. New machine, Windows 7, nothing works to bring up the dongle except the above procedure. THANKS!!!

so not sure if im helping anyone here but my issue wit hwindows 7 on my 32 bit system was comming up wit hte sparkey.dll file not found in the specafied directory.. how i fixed the issue.. (mind you i have been on here long enough to find out possibly a better way to do it ) i went and used dseo1.3b.. my understanding is that the driver is not digitally signed therefore it will not work in wondows 7.. looks in device manager and is listed as sparkey but it obviously dont work as it shows in proton that the usb dongle cant be found.. seeing as how i pad a bit of money for this program i was a bit ticked lol. anyway tho u install dseo1.3b. it digitally signs the drivers once you use it and point to the directory of the driver.. u can find this by going into device manager and looking into the properties of its location. copy that and put into dseo1.3b.. .. u will have to restart windows to make it all work but before you do that u need to disable UAC. in windows 7 u do this by clicking on the start menu in the bottom left and in the search field type in .. "change user account control settings" click on that.. in there move the scroll bar to the bottom where it says never notify.. and hit ok.. restart your computer and start dseo1.3b again.. enable test mode and you should be good to go... hope this works for you as ive been bitching for a day trying to get this all figured out only to find that it was just a freaking windows stupid digitally signed driver issue.. oh well tho problem solved
