    Hi,
I have not had a problem and I leave my licence key (dongle) in all the time, are you using ports on the same hub etc, I have the dongle in one of the motherboard ports which I think means that it is totally separate from the others.

    Regards,
    Bob

I would agree, of the 5+ PC's I have plugged my dongle into I have not seen this issue.

So I suggest that you plug it into its own USB socket. Although I have mine on a hub with 5 other devices and have no issue.

Same here no issues at all.
Have mine plugged into a 7port hub with a sandisk cruizer memory stick , SF dongle , Elecrta router dongle , bluetooth dongle, Nokia Cable for N95 and USB microscope. no issues at all

I got a cheap crappy hub off eBay for $2 or something and it only works with a USB mouse or a USB flash drive. When I plugged more than two things in, it caught fire (almost) Can't imagine why the computer didn't complain, seeing what must have been several amps on the USB socket.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a hub, but when I threatened negative feedback (worse than death) the eBay seller sent me one that actually works.

Obviously these things are stamped out in China for 5c each with no quality checking whatsoever, probably soldered together by Chinese peasants getting $1 a day.

Moral of the story don't pay less than $10 for a hub, because on a cheap piece of shit like this anything could happen. Some computers have these hubs built into the case, so you might not appear to be using one, but actually are.
