    Default Proteus & W7 USB

Just a note to anyone contemplating upgrade to W7 64bit. Having got over the euphoria of getting the darn dongle on Proton working, Proteus install is a breeze.
But and its a BIG BUT USB simulation is NOT supported in 64 bit mode. Maybe if enough people moan they might do something about it
So my brand spanking new HP Envy i7 has to run in XP virtual. Cant even run W7 32 bit, as no video driver support yet.

Hi, its great to see you visiting our forum. Why not try Proton Compiler for FREE?

    Sorry Tim,
    that wasnt very well written.
When I ran ISIS in W7 64bit it came back with 'USB not supported' or words to that effect, and a posting in the Labcenter forum saying it doesnt support USB in 64 bit mode, I sort of assumed it didnt work. If you are running W7 64bit please let me know what revision ISIS you are running, and what drivers you can use. I guess it might support HID, in which case I'll get on to Labcenter to confirm tomorrow.

The bit about the video was just a moan about HP only supporting 64 bit on new laptop, so I cant run W7 32 bit.

Hope this is a bit clearer.
