Thread: Two versions, any reason to have both?

Default Two versions, any reason to have both?

For some reason the IDE was starting ISIS ver 7.5 included with the beta 2.0.0.5 (compiler 3.4.0.8) rather then 7.6 SP4 which is installed in the default labcenter directory. on-line updated Proteus recently, maybe that had something to do with it. Anyway, 7.5 would immediately get a memory error and ask to quit. I pointed the compiler to the full version 7.6, and the VHB and VSM work fine now. Is there any reason not to delete the 150mb ISIS directory protonide\plugin\vhbexplorer ?

I see no reason to keep the demo if you have full version.
When i was with my last job that had a full version 7.4, Isis was installed to the protonide\plugin\vhbexplorer replacing the demo. This was done as there was problems with the original path to Isis.

Thanks, that's the conclusion I came to as well. Everything seems to work, hopefully there isn't some odd bug that will drive me batty in the future.

Here a suggestion for the IDE installer, make Isis installation optional with a note that it will use your existing version.
