    Default Bit Array

I went to compile some code I had just made and found out that you cannot use a bit array. The code that I had entered used two 64 bit arrays.

What I have is 16 bytes of data making up 64 - 2 bit pairs. For each pair I need to make a decision based on each bit in the pair and also its position number(0-63). I also need to extract the left bit of each pair and make a 64 bit number in the form of 8 bytes. I had it all figured out using a bit array but a bit stumped now that I can't do it that way.

What I am doing is trying to read the ROM code off a one-wire device using a DS2480 1 wire line driver. There are samples on this forum but they don't use the search accelerator in the DS2480 and the format is different.

Any help or ideas would be great.

    Geoff

Thanks for the info. Got it done and it almost working 100%. Turned out to be rather simple. Just had my head wrapped around doing it with the bit array
