    Sorry Joseph.

    Fanie,

Je antwoord in het zuid afrikaans op een thread van 2008?
Hebben ze daar zo lekker bier in zuid afrika?
Hi DCT, we have only one beer called Black Label, the others are lagers etc which is made in another process.

I'm a rum man myself, preferring Redheart. The others often taste like cough syrup

    Hi.
my two cent contribution to this discussion.

I have two key, and obviosly two license. One key stay at LAB site and the other stay locked with the home/car key ring.

I decided to buy the second key/license, when I discover to have leaved the key at the LAB after a trip of 300 Km to give on site support on my cstomer.
I was losing: one day of work, money for the two trip and my face with the customer.
Now for me is impossible to remain without the key. It is always with me with the keys.

    Bye

    Leo

The answer is simple. do what I did, next time you have the opportunity, add the charge of a new key / license to you customer ! It's for their benefit at the end of the day, as well as yours.
I just upgraded my Hi-Tech C compiler from Standard to Pro, you could almost buy FOUR keys for the amount of money it cost me !

    Hi Fanie,
Nice to hear from you, trust you are keeping well.

Yip, it broke my heart, but one of my "Ye Old'e" platinum mine projects was written for me in C, and the mine require copies of all the software and source code, so it was a toss up between getting a "Certified Software Engineer" at enormous expense, to do a simple change for me, or buy the compiler and do it myself. The compiler still cost me less. (About R10k) and at the end of the day, it's mine !!

    Peter,

Keeping well from the shoulders on downward, probably slept an hour last night, had the usual night time sports again.

Better trade those 50W soldering irons in for ones 25W or less, power is said to increase again 29 % and you're looking at 53% for the year.

Don't you just love engineers who don't know which end of a soldering iron gets hot !!
Lets make one that heats up both ends !

Let's face it, the dongle is not that bad. Some of these chines products you buy with a one year guarantee, and one year and a day later the software has timed out and the product stops to work. You have to buy a new one. I have a one year and a few days old brand new 20" wide screen chinese LCD monitor lying here. The software timed out.

The first ever digital watch I bought was like that. It had a red LED display in it and to save battery power you had to push a button to see the time. One year and a day later it stopped to work. They cost like R30 which was 25% of the pay I got at the time as an appy.
