    Default 16f690 I2C support

    Hi,

I've been using the complier for some time with no issues - great work.

Hi, its great to see you visiting our forum. Why not try Proton Compiler for FREE?

Download the FREE version of Proton Compiler, Its called Amicus18 and its available from HERE

Already using proton Compiler??? Get rid of these pesky messages... get LICENSED USER STATUS

A slightly puzzling issue. I'm using a 16F690 to talk to a DS1307 real time clock chip. The 16F690 supports I2C in hardware and so should be able to use the hbusin and hbusout commands? However, when I use these commands a load of assembler errors are thrown which relate to RCEN, PEN, ACKN and SSPCON2 registers. I don't think the 16F690 has these registers? Is this a complier problem or am I forgetting to do something basic

    Andy

  2. If you're a Licensed user of PROTON DEVELOPMENT SUITE, apply for Licensed User Status to remove these pesky messages
and get access to additional forum areas, Beta test downloads and more!

Sorry - realized the 16f690 does not support I2C as a master only a slave
