    Default USB Code Generator Plugin

There is a new PDS plugin available for download called EasyHID
Wizard. EasyHID will automatically generate PDS USB code, ready for
programming into a PIC MCU. EasyHID will also generate the application
code needed to talk to the PIC MCU via the USB Bus. Supported
languages include Borland Delphi, Microsoft Visual BASIC and
    Microsoft Visual C++.

    You can download from here...

This sounds very exciting - it might just give me the confidence necessary to try using USB with PDS - thanks VERY much. I think I might also buy some ID's from mecanique - a great idea.

It really is easy to use. Earlier today I generated some PDS and VB code. The VB application could see when my USB PIC (18F455) was being plugged in and unplugged. I could also send some data from my VB application to the PIC, which then echoed it back. I did all this with NO additional PDS code and only a few lines of VB code.

Please let me know how you get on...

    Thumbs up

    Hi David,
I have just checked the enumeration process and the link with Delphi application for the time, and it works very fine...
I'll do a better test with bi-directional com today ...

It is a great pluggin! If you can do the same for the generic driver of Microchip (underlaying on the mpusbapi.dll for example...), PDS will become the most powerfull (and the only one I think ?) integrated tool on the market...

    Regards,

    Robert

    Well... that works!
I built PDS and Delphi code for a little standard application. The PC send requests to the device and the device must answer depending on the request... About fiften minuts for the whole...

    Congratulations David...

It may just be my nasty background but it would be nice to see a .net target (c#) added to that list. Even converting from VB to VB.net is painful. (Delegates anyone...) Otherwise its great

If someone can provide a 'template' program (similar to the VB, Delphi or C++ examples) then I would be happy to write a generator program.
