Hi, its great to see you visiting our forum. Why not try Proton Compiler for FREE?

Download the FREE version of Proton Compiler, Its called Amicus18 and its available from HERE

Already using proton Compiler??? Get rid of these pesky messages... get LICENSED USER STATUS

All proteus customers with a valid USC and a licence for either the PIC18 family or the PIC Bundle will be able to use the additional variants after installing Version 6.7.

We have also changed the old PIC 16 Starter Kit to be a generic PIC starter kit by including the PIC18F452 variant. This means that, as of V6.7,the PIC starter kit now contains variants for the PIC16F84, PIC16F877 and the PIC18F452. The price is unchanged for new users and existing users that have a PIC starter kit should contact either ourselves or Crownhill with their details. We will then issue a new set of licence keys to enable the 18F452 for use with Version 6.7.

Full details of new features can be found here : h**p://www.labcenter.co.uk/support/whatsnew.htm

We anticipate release proper around the middle of February.

    Iain.

    Hello Ian,
I think your starterkit is more interesting if you include the 16F6x8 instead the 16F84. The 16F84 has only 1 k memory. It is to small to work with Proton+.
You would win more customers with this addition.
    With best regards

    Wilfried

I have the full licence for the pic18 series but after my recent house move I am unable to locate any paperwork regarding my purchase.
How do I go forward with the upgrade?

    Hi,

Contact either us directly at Labcenter or Crownhill to get the download location and username/password for the V6.7 install (assuming your USC is valid).

    Thumbs up

    Hi Ian,

Like Wilfried say , if there is a 16F628 in stead of a 16F84
and maybe a 12F629 of a look a like I've a lot of potential to buy the starter kit of VSM and many others proton users to.
The full version is to expensive for a regular hobby user like me.
And some family members will be protest if I spent to many on things
without any results and just for fun.

    Regards
    Peter

I believe it's the latest one since I just bought it last week. I have the following:

    Proton IDE 1.0.3.6 and

    PROTON + BASIC Compiler
    Loader Version
    Compiler Version 3.1.0.9

Just to give you an example, these are the first two lines of my program:

    Device 18F8520
    XTAL = 20
    ...

And when I run it (F9) it says unrecognized PICmicro

    Hope it helps..
