Since I'm new here is there suppoprt for the 12F683 /12F508 / 9
this is our most used chips right now.Are chips going to be added faster to the data base like MElabs and Micro Chip have been doing? No since waiting a month to use or ES/Samples if we have no support in our IDE

We just bought the IDE/System since it does look nice and David did such a great job on the IDE It was a must have. With a heavy heart we leave Melabs behind for now after 6 years of support.

Just as a need to know, Who named Proton IDE Best of Breed?

Sounds like a self given slap on the back.Or a sales pitch. It's being tossed around like a World class magazine gave them an award for god's sake!

    Hi

The pic's you ask about are already supported by PDS. New devices are added in pretty quickly and free.

The Best of Breed is not intended to be a "self given slap" merely an statement of fact. In its breed (PIC BASIC compilers) it's the best, as the competition Pbpro, Mbasic etc do match it in command set, functionality bla bla bla.

Any way welcome to the Proton forum, if you have any questions just ask
    Tim

    Perfect.
I hade been using the demo untill monday when my Keyed Unit gets here.
Also Rentron site does not list the devices. I asked about them thinking id get the jump on asking in advance of getting my package! Nice to know there is no need to worry.

Tim,No doubt that's true it is the Best, just seamed to be a bit corny. Like me saying "I am the best looking man here" Not true by any amount yet a self givien Tag.

In regard to the M-basic thats an slap to any and all basics that we even speak it's name!Worst in breed!
