Re: CAN commands files from Wiki??

If you manage to get CAN running on the DSPIC33 Bas, I have hardware to test it on. I think it will be quite a challenge though

Re: CAN commands files from Wiki??

I don't think they will work with the DSPIC33 Bas. Bob (RGV250) should be able to confirm. The DSPICs use DMA transfer which isn't the easiest thing to get your head around.

    Re: Chip needed

    Hi Bob,

Might be slightly off track of what you had in mind, but I have used the STP08CP05 SPI led driver in the past. Quite easy to use, and has some useful features.

Unplugging the LCD & jumpering it as you suggested did the trick Rick thank you!

    Hi Rick,

I was hoping it was that too, but I have CMCON = 7, which should disable both comparators.

Duh, I think you've hit the nail on the head Rick. The dev board has the LCD permanently...
  11. 18F4580 LCD on PORTD Lower Nibble 4 Bit

    Good morning all,

I have a 4 x 20 LCD working fine on an 18F4580 in 4 bit mode on the upper nibble. PORTD.0 -7 match up with LCD Data 0-7 lines. For some reason it doesn't work on the lower...

    Hi John,

I noticed a possible anomaly with the MK2 Fuse Configurator. I declared device as 18F46K80, and the configurator gave config settings for the device's big brother the 18F66K80. I was able...

    18F4580 CAN Bus & HBUSOUT

    Good afternoon all.

I have 3 PIC18F4580 boards swapping data via CAN bus quite happily.

  16. Re: New error message in fuse configurator MK2

    Hi John,

I did manage to get it working in the end thank you. It was a permissions issue with the existing account. I was given the pc for free, and it already had another admin on it.

    Testing Bits of a register.
