Re: Pulse counting, storing and reading back

    Dirk and Colleagues,
I am still SLOWLY pursuing this idea, using PIC18F14K22 (I have not considered the ..f25K22 (yet)).
I have begun changing the various timers, to suit my application, but have...
  2. Library DIVIDE code: possible reduction and BYTE ERROR.

    Les (& colleagues),

I have continued "examining" the integer maths in your library, to understand the signed and unsigned calls etc (for the PIC18 devices).

    I respectfully believe there is...

Pulse counting, storing and reading back: kWh meter application

    Les (& Colleagues),

Thanks Les, for such prompt "inspiring" code.

I hope to adapt your code to an Energy Monitor, which similarly counts/totalises (kWh consumed) and gives approximate...
  4. Suggested library MULTIPLY code reduction (signed & Non-signed)

    Les (and colleagues)

Les continues to develop an excellent compiler.

  5. YES we CAN ! place a user defined macro within a user defined macro

    DmitriK,

Les HAS provided Macro within Macro at the pre-processor level. :)
    - I don't know how many layers deep we can nest, but I will be adding some more
    - it certainly makes code ENTRY...
  6. PreProcessor $EVAL inside $define: ANSWER "nest macros"

    Colleagues,

After some testing (& thinking), I have found the method.:)
    - NEST Macro within MACRO (which are BOTH expanded by pre-processor).

I will also post this on another thread, where...
  7. PreProcessor $EVAL inside $define: ANY ideas, please

    Colleagues,

I am using more of Les's pre-processor $define to reduce code typing and "encode/pack" some parameters, which are then passed (via sub-routine call) to a generic print routine...
  8. Re: Erratic LCD16*2 with PIC18: FIX with symbol update/reload (ISIS Beta 7.8 SP0)

    Colleagues,

Just a short update to above post (which for some reason I can't edit)::(
    - before I changed symbols, I updated my actual PIC16 H/W to PIC18
    - the code & LCD worked fine, so it had...
  9. Erratic LCD16*2 with PIC18: FIX with symbol update/reload (ISIS Beta 7.8 SP0)

    Colleagues,

I have been transferring BAS code from PIC16F648A (generated by PDS 3.1.0.9), simulated on ISIS 6.8 SP4.

I am now compiling with PDS Beta (latest 3.5.2.1) for PIC18F14K22,...

    Thanks for your attention.

Fault_num_worst is a variable, but I wanted to use its ADDRESS, rather than its value.

I am using arrays of mixed (Byte & Word) variable types in RAM, which...
