Yes, I know about the ini file support in Delphi, in fact I am using it to load in the Printer info and to handle the .mci files which I now use to carry notes, version number code folding and...
  2. Re: johngb has just uploaded Proton Studio Version 1.0.1.10!

Would you mind opening the registry and going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JGBTools\ProtonNewIDE\Tools.
Under Tools you should see a list of entries Tool0, Tool1 etc. These should correlate with...
  3. Re: johngb has just uploaded Proton Studio Version 1.0.1.10!

Did you Click Update after deleting. This updates the registry otherwise the changes you make are only valid for the current session.

  5. Re: Update on procedures in the Proton BASIC Compiler

    @Les
I wondered if that might be the case after I sent it but it would be good to keep compatibility between compilers if possible.
  6. Re: Update on procedures in the Proton BASIC Compiler

Will these changes be fully reflected in the P24 version of the compiler? e.g. BycRef.
Hopefully once users have had time to work with procedures in the 8 bit environment they may be more inclined...

  8. Re: johngb has just uploaded New Update to Proton Studio!

I might add in a mechanism which would allow you to run items such as the USART calculator as a stand alone program. I have just added a Backup archiving function which is compatible with Total...

  10. Re: johngb has just uploaded New Update to Proton Studio!

I'm working on improving capitalisation but because of the tools I am using it is not as straight forward. I am going to have to delve into 3rd party software to resolve this. I have already had ...
  11. Re: johngb has just uploaded New Update to Proton Studio!

Sounds like it was never running properly. AVs seem to cause more trouble than they are worth sometimes.
  12. Re: johngb has just uploaded New Update to Proton Studio!

It sounds like the installation didn't complete properly. Tried it here again on my PC and it went fine but I'm on Windows 10 64. I tried the 32 bit install and that was went OK as well. I deleted...
  13. Re: johngb has just uploaded New Update to Proton Studio!

    George
I am guessing you are saying that D_Pbp and Pbp are identifiers to an array, so what you are saying is that I am not recognising the format for addressing arrays using the # syntax.
    I can...
  14. Re: johngb has just uploaded New Update to Proton Studio!

Its not the first thing AVG has chocked on. Is it the Install its complaining about or the actual application?

Do you have an alternative AV, I use Kaspersky and it has no issue with it

  22. Re: johngb has just uploaded Proton Studio Ver 1.0.1.6!

I have looked again at the programming code and can make it operate like ProtonIDE. This is the logic:

Remove all instances of "$ and $" and replace with $
    Insert " + Actual Hex Filename + " in...
  23. Re: johngb has just uploaded Proton Studio Ver 1.0.1.6!

When I was converting Proton Studio to use the pre-configured file that comes with Proton I noticed that the use of double inverted commas was not consistent for one pre-config to the other. I had...
  24. Re: johngb has just uploaded Proton Studio Ver 1.0.1.6!

That is because I limited it to a few testers before putting it out. Unfortunately the message gets sent to all which rather defeats the point of being able to limit distribution.
    when I have some...
