    Re: Convert Integers to Float

I have to say that I'm a bit confused too. Integers, by definition, are whole numbers. So why not...

Perhaps there's something I'm missing here. Apologies if...

    Re: 1602 LCD problem

I always use the cheapest that I can find on EBay, never had a problem. I wonder if you have a faulty display. I assume that altering the contrast pot has no effect.

  6. Re: johngb has just uploaded Proton Studio Ver 1.0.1.6!

Well this is interesting. I've tried 3 different browsers and still can't download the file. Others seem to have no difficulty.

I'm not able to download either. I wonder if you can John because you have better access rights than most of us here.

    George,

Use of a terminal emulator would seem to me to be a good first step and might prove/disprove my thoughts on the delay loop.

    Re: String array question ?

    Craig,

    An interesting project!

I was wondering if the "DelayMS 25" was necessary in your program. I assume that the module will only send data once it has calculated the distance value. If...

    Re: Frequency counter

You could use the signal you're trying to measure to gate a signal of higher frequency, say for example, 32kHz. 1Hz would give you a count of 32k, 160Hz proportionally less. With a little bit of...
