Re: Driving 2 LCD Modules from 1 CPU

Have a look on the WIKI for the description to drive a 440 LCD.
Some of these are actually 2 systems with one screen.
The software driver enables you to have a second enable pin. Works like a...

Re: Request for Assistance - PIC16F15323

Memory bit wobbly nowadays but I think Les said "end" is redundant. As George said, the compiler knows when to stop.

    Re: Log in problems again.

Stephen, I don't know if it's bad practice but I never log out, just go to another site or close my browser. When I go back to the forum I don't have to log in ever. I guess it's a cookie doing that....

    Re: Advertisement on the forum

    Lester,
Paypal suits me best from the other side of the world although I do have a multicurrency card as well which would be fine to a secure site - therein lies a setup problem I reckon.

    Re: Advertisement on the forum

    Lester,
I'm not too worried about an exclusive area for paid up users. Openness is good and it's worked in the past. We seem to have 99.99% responsible users, most sites would be overjoyed to have...

First time I've noticed it. Mine showing GMT+10.5 which is correct for our daylight saving time. Does it get it from my IP?

It's better if the forum can pay its way Lester. No issue with ads if it helps.

  11. Re: using a gps to claculate distance and direction over small distances

    Hi George,
I can't find if I created a BAS file but I did experiment in Delphi during 2012. I have attached all the files for the project although you probably only need the pas file.
    I can't vouch...
  12. Re: using a gps to claculate distance and direction over small distances

Sorry George, I completely forgot to look up my short distance version. It just used simple triangulation and is better for close in. Will look this morning.

Re: Why a delay in TX power up?

That's true Alan but opening the mute should have prevented seeking or power down otherwise there'd be holes in the reception of genuine signals although with those cheap Chinese radios anything is...

Re: Why a delay in TX power up?

Seems to point to the TX being slow to fire up.
Do you have a completely different receiver to check. I know some RX partly go to sleep and take a while to put audio out but in view of the mute...

Re: Delphi or Visual Studio etc. ?

Like Stephen I had a look at LabView following Shantanu recommendation. I can see that would be very useful for interfacing to hardware.
I guess Craig it depends on what you want to do.

Re: Delphi or Visual Studio etc. ?

    I agree with Ricardo.
The advantage of Delphi is that a Starter Edition is available for free and it does everything I need. It also will produce Aps for Android and iOS.

  19. Re: Unable to find Library manger and SD card .inc

    Re: Convert Integers to Float

    Hi Alberto,
If I just play around with numbers. For example
    -5 +2 = -2 remainder must be -1 because if you reverse the operation -2 +2 = -4 -1 =-5 so remainder must be negative.
    Keeping in...

    Re: Convert Integers to Float

    Hi Alberto,
My maths is less reliable now.
I'll do some research to get a better answer for you. I'll then do some tests with Proton and Delphi to see if there is agreement between the two...

    Re: Convert Integers to Float

    Alberto,
When finding the remainder of a division the sign of the remainder is the same as that of the dividend. However when finding a modulus the sign is that of the divisor.
    So -9 mod 2 gives a...

    Re: 1602 LCD problem

    1602 LCD problem
