- Biography:
- I have been in electronics since 81 as a hardware person and started writing PIC software in assembler in 91 for industrial control systems such as compressors for telco companies, pressure regulators, timers, etc.
I taught myself BASIC back in the early 80s and have done a couple big projects using a micro PC and compiled quick basic. My main work has been with the PIC and assembler.
Now I find myself with a PIC project that is too difficult to do with assembler and BASIC will make it much easier. So...I'm taking the step to Proton to get the job done.
I gotta admit that I have some concerns with program size and speed of execution using a compiler but I think Proton will be a great step ahead. Ok, I'll have a learning curve that takes time that is alright. Just gotta work on the collisions in my head between assembler and BASIC (let proton take care of things that I normally would have to pay very careful attention to in assembler).
- Interests:
- 2 way radios (amateur and business)
- Occupation:
- Self employed- building circuits, writing code for PIC systems.
My program is doing what!!??
