  • ACS713 Current Sensor

    A Nifty Chip !

The ACS713 is an isolated DC current measuring chip. They are available in SO8 packages and current ranges from 5A to 30A in this package. Also available in AC models.

The current measuring element is a 1.2mOhm inductor and the bandwidth is 50kHz (fast enough to do active motor current control !) Comes factory calibrated.

The isolation between the measuring circuit (PICŪ) and the current element means you con't have to worry about voltage levels and you can do high side current measurements in ie PSU's or measure mains currents without a safety problem.

Other packages offer up to 150A !
