    I made up a DIP adapter PCB so the connections are not significantly longer than the original design, here's a pic:

    Yep, I am re-using all of the existing circuit, will need to trace and see if there's a series cap.

    Oh yeah, the original Micro was a HOLTEK HT46R22, not a HOLUX.
