Introduction
The PROTON Solderless Development System is the ideal platform for freeform prototyping of small / medium sized projects or building blocks for larger projects. It is also the perfect platform for educational and training environments.
Features
The solderless development board features:
- InCircuit Programming Interface, for Epic® Programmer, or Crownhill PIC® BASIC Bootloader
- On Board regulated 5V supply with LED Indicator
- On Board RS232 interface
- Detachable Solderless prototyping board
- PCB Mirror image of Solderless prototyping board
The solderless development board comprises of a Prototyping PCB, complete with Regulated Power supply circuit, RS232 I/O and In-Circuit programming interface to connect to the Epic
® Programmer.
The PCB exactly matches the connection grid of the Solderless Breadboard, supplied as part of the system. This allows a circuit to be built, modified tested and proven without the use of solder and fixed connections. The finished project can then be optionally stripped down and components re-used, or, transferred to the solderable prototype area and permanently built as a professional prototype, avoiding the cost of a custom made PCB.
The solderable development area is a mirror image of the solderless bread board, thus no rewiring or additional modifications need to be made when transferring to a soldered solution. Further, the solderable development area is directly under the solderless breadboard allowing easy visual referencing to be achieved during the transfer.
The solderless development system is a complete solution to small and medium sized projects where a freeform prototype area is required.
