    A FREE version of the Proton Compiler is available for download from www.myamicus.co.uk, this FREE download provides the full funtionality of Proton Compiler for the 18F25K20 device as used in the AMICUS development board.

    AMICUS is an excellent way to get familiar with the Proton compiler.


    The Amicus18 IDE provides the user with
    • Proton Basic source code editor - with colour syntax highlighter
    • Compiler - Full version of Proton Basic for the PICŪ Microcontroller with full integration to MPLABŪ for debugging, if required.
    • Programmer - automated programming of the Amicus Board - no external programmer required.

    The Amicus18tm IDE has been designed to maximize programmer productivity by providing highly integrated and intuitive interface to the tools required to develop on the Amicus 18 hardware.
